We expected the famous sights to be memorable, but what surprised us was how much we enjoyed the quieter experiences arranged by AVIORA.
Our guide was excellent at finding the right moment to step away from the main tourist route. We had an unhurried lunch, visited a local area and spent an evening simply walking around near the hotel.
Because the hotel was in such a convenient location, we didn't need to turn every evening into another organised excursion.
The overall feeling was very comfortable and sophisticated. We were never chasing the schedule, and yet we never felt that we were missing China.
That balance is difficult. AVIORA handled it very well.
