I expected the high-end hotels to be good, but what surprised me was how much the locations affected our experience. We were often close to the parts of the city we actually wanted to see, which saved us time every day.
It also gave us freedom after the organised part of the itinerary. We could go for dinner, browse shops or simply take an evening walk without arranging another transfer.
One evening we walked out of the hotel after dinner and spent almost an hour just wandering around. There was no “tourist attraction” involved at all, but it ended up being one of the nicest evenings of the trip.
That is something I now associate with AVIORA: luxury isn't just the room. It's where the room is, what surrounds it and how much freedom that gives you.
