The biggest luxury was not having to think. That sounds strange because we obviously wanted to be involved in our trip, but we didn't want to spend our holiday solving practical problems.
AVIORA had the next transfer organised, the driver knew where to meet us, the hotels were expecting us and our guide already knew the plan. When there was a small timing change, we were informed rather than left to figure it out.
That level of coordination made a bigger difference than I expected. We could concentrate on what we were seeing, what we were eating and what our guide was telling us.
I think that is what separates a good travel company from a premium one. The premium service isn't necessarily louder or more extravagant. It simply removes the little sources of stress that gradually wear you down during a long trip.
