The hotels were one of the strongest parts of our experience with AVIORA. I had assumed that “luxury” simply meant a five-star property, but their hotel recommendations were much more considered than that.
The properties were stylish, the rooms were genuinely comfortable and the locations were chosen intelligently. In some cities, we could walk to restaurants and shops in the evening. In others, we had a quiet place to come back to after a very full day.
That distinction mattered because good accommodation gave us the energy to enjoy the next day.
I also appreciated that AVIORA didn't let the luxury hotels isolate us from the destination. During the day, we were still eating local food, visiting neighbourhoods and having conversations with our guide about ordinary life in China.
