Zhangjiajie has a regional airport and rail connections. Arrival in Zhangjiajie City does not mean you are already at the Wulingyuan park entrances; the final transfer must be included.

Private vehicles handle airport, station, hotel and park-gate transfers. Inside major scenic areas, travelers use regulated park buses, cableways and lifts shared with other visitors.
Where and how long to stay
Wulingyuan is practical for the national forest park, while Zhangjiajie City suits Tianmen Mountain and transport connections. Three to four nights, sometimes split between bases, reduce backtracking.

A hotel labeled 'Zhangjiajie' may be far from the entrance needed the next morning. Confirm the exact base, not only the city name.
